What We do?

 
  • Nail Cutting, Removal of Corns and Callous - Routine chiropody treatment, whether your feet just need some TLC or whether you have a painful corn we can assess and treat as necessary.

 

  • Minor Surgery for Ingrown Toenails - We are trained in the use of local anaesthesia for toenail surgery whether it be a thick, curved or ingrown nail we can relieve the problem. 

 

  • Diabetic Foot Assessment - It is important for patients who have diabetes to get their feet checked regularly, if problems are found early they can be treated effectively 

 

  • Fungal Infections - Fungal skin and nail infections are common, here at MB podiatry we can advise on the best course of treatment for you.

 

  • Verruca Treatment - Verruca's are a virus which invade the skin and can multiply in some cases. Some will regress on their own but others can become painful. There are many treatment modalities available for verruca's, we will assess and devise a management plan for you.

 

  • Childrens ( Paediatric ) Foot Assessment - Even little ones can get problems with their feet and it is important to make sure that there are no major problems whilst our little ones are growing. Marc works in a Paediatric muskuloskeletal team in his NHS role and has had many years experince in dealing with children's foot and leg problems 

 

  • Home Visits - we offer home visits in the following areas Enfield, Barnet, Potters Bar, Cheshunt, Waltham Cross and Goffs Oak. Please contact us for availability or if a visit is required outside these areas

 

 

 

  • Footwear Advice - What we wear on our feet is very important  whether you are an experienced runner or just like taking a stroll out in the fresh air, we can advise on the best footwear for you.

 

  • Orthotic Provision - Quite simply an orthotic is a device which goes into our footwear to help realign our feet and our body as a whole. They help to reduce any stress or strain which may be causing pain. We have over 15 years experience  in lower limb assessment and the prescription of orthosis.

 

  • Foot Mobilisation Techniques (FMT) - FMT is a technique, which is known as manual therapy. In Simple terms it means to move or 'adjust' the bones in your feet to increase the range of movement in the joints to reduce stiffness and locking which can cause pain

 

  • Podiatric Acupuncture / Dry needling - Acupuncture is the action of penetrating the skin using a needle to arrive at therapeutic benefit. Acupuncture has been shown to have localised effect on tissues such as stimulation of sensory nerves to reduce pain. Dry needling is used to release tight areas of muscle fibre and fascia, which may have become compromised due to injury

 

  • Injection therapy - Corticosteroids (steroids) are a group of drugs  that can be used to reduce inflammation and pain. Marc is trained in the use of injectable steroids along with local anaesthesia to reduce inflammation and pain within the foot.

  • Shockwave therapy - Dosages of energy to painful spots and triggers healing and regeneration process. This effect is favourable in all persistent pain conditions in the lower limb
